AISIS is a joint research project regarding automated generation of information and protection of critical infrastructures in the event of a disaster.

The project is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). It is part of the programme "Research for Civil Security" and German government's high-tech strategy. Project management agency is VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH.
